What should I do?
This was our 6th cycle TTC. I started tracking my cycle's this summer and for the past ten cycles, I have had a 29-31 day cycle. When I was my doctor about 2 months ago, she said that was totally fine. Last cycle, AF didn't show up until CD 40. Today is CD 35 and still no AF and BFN on a FRER. Sooo...I called my doctor and asked her about my cycle being longer and she said that it isn't a big deal and that I just have to keep it in mind when I do get a BFP b/c it could mess up my due date. I'm feeling like something is wrong and am so confused about why this would suddenly happen to my cycles. I'm worried that I'm not Oing. I've tried using OPKs but never got a positive.
Does anyone recommend the CBEFM? Or could I go to a RE? Or do I need to have a specific problem to see a RE?

Re: What should I do?
It may be nothing to worry about. Stress can throw off your O. But it could mean something and I'd have your doc run some tests.
I had 2 normal 28 and 30 days cycles and then jumped to 40/42. When I went for my annual check-up I mentioned it to my doc and he started a battery of tests. The one that showed something was the progesterone bloodwork. Turns out I'm not releasing mature eggs. I'm on meds and doing IUI this cycle so we can force me to release a mature egg and time everything right. Definitely ask your doc to send you for bloodwork at the very least. Better to get it out of the way now than to find out down the road that so much time was wasted. Hopefully it's nothing.

Re: What should I do?
Supposedly that CBEFM is awesome. I'd say it's worth a try.
Your doctor doesn't seem so concerned, I'm sure she would have recommended an RE if she thought there was a problem.
Maybe try the CBEFM and if no luck within a month, call your doc and ask for an RE?
Sorry if I'm not much help-I'm the type of person who goes by what the doctor says, otherwise I'll drive myself crazy reading stuff online.
Good luck and to you!

Re: What should I do?
This TTC is very stressful on our bodies. I always had cycles like clockwork every 28 days. When DH and I decided to throw caution to the wind and see what happens all of a sudden my cycles got shorter- like 24 or 25 days. I was freaking out and my dr told me not too worry. Sure enough, after a few cycles they went back to normal. My point is that TTC can not only mess with our brains- it can mess with our cycles too! So you're longer cycles may be TTC related. Have you been using OPK's regularly? CBEFM might help but is a big investment. I would use OPK's starting on whatever day the instructions say based on your cycle length. You may be O'ing earlier or later in your cycle and just be missing it with the OPK's.
