pre pregnancy, prenatal vitamins
Did you start taking prenatal vitamins when you began trying to concieve? If yes, which ones? Did your dr give you a perscription or did you buy them over the counter at cvs? My husband and I have started trying recently, but I am not on them yet, and I keep hearing that I should be taking them from my freinds.... but at my last dr apt, 6 months ago, he said i didn't need to take them.... I am confused. I have no medical issues and my BP is fine. What did you do? TIA

Re: pre pregnancy, prenatal vitamins
I just take mine as my multi-vitamin. I take rainbow lite brand that I got at target. They say to take folic acid a few months befor TTC. Right after I got married, my Dr. gave me a script for pre-natals "just in case". They were $30/mo so I didn't bother. Some Dr's say it's ok to take OTC ones prior to be ing pregnant.

I began taking prenatals a few months before we started TTC. I take Flintstone vitamins because I have trouble swallowing pills. My OB/GYN says that they are fine.

Re: pre pregnancy, prenatal vitamins
My Dr gave me a prescription for them before we even started tty but now I just buy over the counter. They are cheaper and work just as good. It cant hurt to take them its really just like a multi with higher doses hth!

I take the target brand and I wanna say it was like $5 for a 30 count of DHA supplement and maybe $10 or $14 for a 100 count of the regular prenatals. Not 100% sure though
