Question about a daycare teacher leaving...
So, one of ds' teachers is leaving to take another job. She is so sweet and really would have stayed if money wasn't an issue. I assume that it's appropriate to give a gift to say goodbye...would a gift certificate to a restaurant like Olive Garden or Applebee's be a good gift or should I just give something else like a gift certificate to B&N? I don't want to give $$$ because I gave that at the holidays but maybe I should just give cash.

I think a gift certificate is fine and would definitely be used!

Re: Question about a daycare teacher leaving...
One of DD's teachers just left to take another job, and I brought her flowers- so yes, a GC would be appropriate!

Re: Question about a daycare teacher leaving...
I usually give the teachers gift cards for dunkin donuts or starbucks. But I think a restaurant is fine too. I have also done a bookstore one for one of the teachers but she is older.
