Fingers crossed
That my Prolactin level comes out to be ok. If so then the Dr. said I can use FertilAid. Which will hopefully bring on AF or get me a BFP.

I didn't know what it was till today lol. It is a hormone to do with our pituitary gland. The nurse said that it will determine if I'm "fertile" or not. We shall see!!

prolactin is the hormone that the body produces when you are breastfeeding. from what i remember offhand its what causes nursing women to not get AF, but still ovulate. If you have high prolactin and aren't nursing it can be a fertility issue and also cause anovulation because i think (dont quote me on this one) it can suppress FSH.

How do you know to check for that? Are there symptoms? Again, I apologize for crashing this thread with my own questions, but I've never heard of this.

Don't be sorry. Its true...we do all learn from each others stories/experiences. It all started the other day when someone posted about FertilAid. Since I haven't gotten AF since February I did some research and felt that this may help bring on AF or at least get me ovulating before having to take Provera. My DH was a little nervous about me starting something without speaking with the Dr. Sooooo I called the Dr. and she said that its fine for me to take FertilAid as long as my Prolactin level is normal. If it isn't normal than I have to take a medicine to regulate it. If it is normal than she said I can try it out and hope for AF.

hmmm very interesting! i just recommended fertiAid to someone too after seeing Dani's post the other day! keep us posted!
