I guess I am out of the game for a while
It just seems that there is absoloutely nothing decent in our price range in the area we are looking in.
Yet, there are some really great houses about $50k higher than what we can afford right now. So, I guess we will just wait it out and go for the bigger and better instead of trying to just make a move now.

keep looking!
more are cropping up each day
it's frustrating, i know.
i keep looking at homes that are 30 grand over my budget, but sometimes they have been on the market for a long time and people are desperate. One home I loved but decided to not go for, well, it has dropped 20 grand in two months already -- they are moving out of state very soon and have a job lined up. You never know the situation, and if you love something, it can't hurt to see what happens if you place an offer.

also, hit up craigslist under the RE section, and search for homes by owner! you can usually get a good deal that way, or try for sale by owner - fsbo.com!!!!
