new here and BCP question
This is prob my first post to this board, eventhough I have been lurking for a little while. I literally just went of the pill after 15 yrs of being on it. I guess I am just a little nervous of what to expect, any changes that I should be aware of. I feel like my body is so accustomed to the pill, that it's going to go haywire now that I am off. Thanks for any input.

Obviously everyone is unique, but I def. had some weird side effects. My cycles have been regular, but my body is acting like I'm a teenager again. I've been breaking out, my body hair is growing faster (TMI), I'm oilier. So sexy I know!

I was on for 8 years. My skin is much oiler, my forehead breaks out & my boobs get swollen and hurt before AF now. My periods are regular, but I was always regular.
On the brighter side, I lost about 5 lbs. I feel better, like I'm not filling my body with poison.

I came off in January after being on it for about 10 years and my first two cycles were looooooong! First one was 47 days and the second one was 39 days.....hopefully they will continue to get shorter! Also before AF my nipples get really sore. And my body hair is growing in faster as well (TMI).

thanks for the replies. I am concerned too about long cycles. I just feel like I should have went off the pill years ago, to give my body time to adjust. it's too late now. But I wouldnt mind dropping a few lbs in the meantime.

When I went off I never got AF on my own and had to use provera to bring it on. I don't mean to scare you or anything- of course everyone is different and some people have very regular cycles.. some get pregnant right away.. etc.
Ever since going off the pill, I notice my skin and scalp get oilier. I used to get away with washing my hair every 3 days if I was feeling lazy and now if I let it go to that third day it gets SO disgusting and greasy!!!!  I MUST wash it every other day now! I also noticed I break out a little more than I used to.

I was on BCP since I was 15 since I never had regular cycles, and have been off for 2 months (no AF yet). The biggest change I've noticed is I having been breaking out a lot, something I never did before.
