1 month old sleeping through feedings
My DS is 4 weeks tomorrow and for the past 4 nights he's been sleeping for 5-6 hour stretches. He is fed faround 7/8 pm and goes down around 8/9 pm and then isn't waking until 2-3 am to be fed and then again around 5-6 am and that's when he's up for the day. He will wake up a little around midnight but doesn't seem to be hungry since he's not crying and isn't squirming around like he does when he is. If he wakes I will put his pacifier in his mouth rub his tummy and he's back to sleep within seconds. Now he's just sleeping through that time. Is it bad for a 4 week old to go that long at night without being fed or should I just go with it and maybe he will STTN earlier than expected?
He drinks 5 oz of formula for his bedtime bottle and he sucks it down! During the day he gets 4 oz every 3-4 hours. He is a big eater.

Honestly as long as he is gaining weight well I would not worry or wake him to eat. DD is only 3 weeks (tomorrow) but already goes 5 hours between feedings at night, and 3.5 to 4 hours during the day. Even our ped said that was fine because she is gaining weight so well.

DD turned 4 weeks this past Friday. She has been sleeping 5 hours stretches at night, this past week she even gave us an 8 hour stretch and last night gave us an 8 hour stretch. She tends to eat more often during the day. The ped said as long as she is gaining weight then it's fine to let her sleep.

As long as weight is being gained, it's fine. DD started giving us long stretches early on too - just enjoy them!

He has no issue in the gaining weight department-he was 7 lb 3 oz when we left hospital and 2 weeks later he was 9 lbs 2 oz and that was over a week ago! He has gotten so much bigger since then. I guess I'll just enjoy the long stretches of sleep!

If he is gaining, I wouldn't worry. I would only wake a sleeping baby for a feeding if they are underweight.
