I think it was around 7 or 8 months  It was in my babyfood cookbook. They recommended just using a ripe avocado and mashing it up with a little formula/BM until it was sort of smooth (not chunky unless your guy is ok with chunks now).
DD loved it back then (well, LOVED would be a strong word since she hated eating  but she tolerated it). I have been trying for months to get her to eat avocados again b/c they're sooooo good for you, and just 2 nights ago she actually tried a piece and I was over the moon excited!

DD is 5.5 months. I will be offering it in the next few days. I will just buy a ripe avocado and mash it up. Will thin it out with formula if necessary.

At 6 months. I just mashed up a fresh avocado and gave it by spoon. I didn't have to thin it out, but if I did I would have used water.

I think it was the second fruit we offered him at around 5 months? (just happened to have it.)
I just mash it up. I guess the first couple of times I added some formula to make it a little thinner.

Same here (well, closer to 9 months) and it seems to be the only thing we've given her that she doesn't LOVE! (so not "Same here" much at all )

Haven't tried it yet with Lola, but I'll mash it up and feed it to her...when she gets a little better with "food" I probably won't mash it up.
