Anybody here who's
just stopped trying to "Not get Pregnant" anymore? I don't want to be tempting & checking mucus & writing on the calender etc. I am hoping that God just blesses us when he sees fit too (corny?)
I don't want the stress of facing the fact I may not be able to get pregnant for a long time. I know it is going to be a long time, all the more reason not for me to keep track.

Re: Anybody here who's
That's how we started off. Unfortunately it didn't really last too long for us so now we are actively trying. I really want to get PG so I didn't want to chance that we were putting off something that might need attention. But plenty of women get PG by just "not being careful" so I say go for it. Do what works best for you. You can always change your mind if nothing happens within a timeframe you set.
Good Luck

Re: Anybody here who's
We started off actively trying for one month, then I found out that I hurt my hip and need surgery... so now we are not trying, but doing nothing to prevent it either. After speaking with my doc he is pretty sure that he wants me to wait on the hip surgery until after kids anyhow so I am not going to start actively trying again until I get a definite answer. I go in for another MRI and appointment in April!

Re: Anybody here who's
You need to do what is best for you and DH
I am 31 and I am married and have a great/secure career and own a house and I am 100% ready to have a baby so we figured we might as well do whatever we can to increase our chances of getting pregnant and if God forbid there is something that might stand in our way atleast we will know about it sooner than later
Good luck to you

i don't think this is corny at all! i think everybody has to do what's best for them. and, in all honesty, i wish we had taken a more laid back approach in the beginning instead of jumping into using all the "methods" so quickly because i've found that it just snowballs....at first i was just using opk's, then i started using the cbefm, now i'm using the monitor AND temping! and it is a little stressful! if you and DH just want to go with the flow and see what happens for a little while, i think that's great!!

Re: Anybody here who's
That's how we started out. I only tracked my AF and when I thought I O'ed on a calendar for 3 months. I'm on month 9 of TTC, so it obviously didn't work for us. But it does work for some, so if you think that's the route you want to take, and age isn't an issue for you, then I say go for it.

Re: Anybody here who's
I've felt that way at times...but we tried to do that for a year and it didnt work out...we just werent into BDing...so busy and priorities were getting enough sleep for work and buying a house..etc...
now that we know our priority is to have a child...we are more into it.

That's also how we started off.
Then at the end of the first cycle and AF arrived, we were both disappointed ... so we decided to be more active in TTCing.

Same here. Started using OPKs in month two, temping in month 4... and I'm still here.

Re: Anybody here who's
That's how I wanted it to be..I wanted to get PG without actually trying. But it gets harder to have that mindset when every month/cycle that goes by and still no BFP.
I have thought about taking a break for a few months just focusing on other things. Maybe if I don't count and do OPKs then I won't be stressing. But its hard not to look at a calendar and start counting days. don't you think?

Re: Anybody here who's
The month that I have ZERO charting/ temping from equaled a BFP...go figure! Now, when I am trying to compare each cycle to that cycle and how I felt before CP, I can't because I have nothing!
It was a lot less stressful not tracking anything. You have to do what works for you though.

Re: Anybody here who's
This is what we said and exactly how we wanted it.. and thats exactly how it went. i stopped bcp in late aug, and by the end of OCT we were pregnant. october was the first cycle i learned how to figure out when i O'd so i felt it made things a little easier... and well 1 shot and we got pregnant im so happy thats how things went it was so relaxed and laid back no stress , this is exactly how i want it to be for #2

Re: Anybody here who's
I def lean more in the direction you are in. We got pregnant without what would be called really trying on ttc boards.
Unfortunately it ended in a mc. So now we have to try all over again.
I don't want to go to crazy with temping and charting, etc. So we decided to splurge on the CBEFM. It's kinda in the middle of not preventing and all out trying I think. This is the first cycle we are going to use it.
