registry item question... carseat mat
Did you register for/use this? They are supposed to protect the seats from indentations from the carseat and spills, but I see mixed reviews on them.

I've heard they are not supposed to be used, but with that being said, we have them under our car seats to protect our seats.

I've heard this too...but everyone I know has one and I never heard any complaints so I registered for one.

we DID register for them but didnt get them. I have leather and its a lease so ill probably get one. DH has cloth and we own his car so we can probably skip one for his car

we got one but when I went to get my car seat inspected by Traffic Safety they made me take it out and said I shouldn't use it.

We have always used one, and let me tell you...when DD projectile vomited in the car about 2 months after we got our new Highlander, I was VERY happy we had it. There was vomit EVERYWHERE  --all over her carseat, all over her...but none on the actual seats themselves! Well worth the money!

i heard they weren't safe and that sometimes they can melt into leather seats...so we took them off the registry.
when we go have someone check the car seat im planning to ask about putting something down (i read that some ppl use towels etc)

we don't use them b/c we don't want to jeopardize the safety of the seats. we do use the mirrors when rear facing though.
