Hm.. advice needed
Ladies, need your expert advice. My story: first cycle TTC, last period 2/14, cycle length 33 days, did not track O this month, last time BD was CD 17 ( last Tues). Starting last Friday I started cramping. Not sharp pain, but def there. Have been cramping since Fri. Yesterday, I went to my ob gyn as I wanted him to check for possible infection or something that might cause pain. On U/S, he saw no cysts, but rather thickening lining on the uterus ( which he said they see in very early prego). He took blood test yesterday ( technically 8 dpo). Results today are negative, cramping continues. What the hell?? Any insight?

It came back negative today. He said it might just be too early. But i thought blood tests are way more sensitive, are they not supposed to show at 8 dpo? He wants me to wait and see if AF shows up around 3/17.

I think 8DPO is way too early to test (even a blood test). Does your doctor want you to come back in and test again? I would wait a week and get another test if AF doesnt show.

Re: Hm.. advice needed
I will use Clear Blue digital in a few days to see if anything shows up. I am just worried that cramping indicates that something is off

Cramping could mean AF is on her way, but it could also be implantation cramping. As long as the doc didn't find anything wrong with you I would just relax and wait it out (i know easier said then done). Only time will tell. You are not out until AF comes!

Re: Hm.. advice needed
8 DPO is very early to see anything on a blood tests. Even RE's don't do it that early. I would just hang in there and see what happens. Cramping could be from implantation which wouldn't register on a blood test yet.

Clear Blue digitals require 50 mIU/mL which you won't get until AF is due or past due. Try a FRER first. They are much more sensitive. This website has good info on HPT's

Thank you, ladies. You are all so wondeful and helpful. I am so proud to be part of this forum ( even though I live in NJ), and not other forums, where ladies are nasty, judgemental and plain bitchy. Good luck to all of you! Posted by Superkat
