Re: yearly checkup

My OB didn't. I had my pap about 3 months after my DD was born.

Re: yearly checkup

oh no really? i didn't go last year bc i had no insurance so it's actually been 2 years for me. This is a new doc for me, do you think he'd do it?
i have an appt for 3/18 and AF is due on 3/19 (jeez now that im thinking about it i hope AF doesn't come early, if i'm not PGChat Icon )

IF i am PG at that appt, i'd only be a few weeks along, is it bad to have a pap while preggo? i want to make sure i'm ok down there

Personally, the last thing I would want is for anyone or anything to be scratching and poking around up there especially early on in pregnancy. If you're TTC and not pregnant there is no reason why you shouldn't get one but I wouldn't get it if I were pregnant. Ask your doctor, he might say it's okay but it would make me nervous. Like I said, I was due for mine but they made me wait until my DD was born.

Re: yearly checkup

ok thanks so much! i guess i will have to wait and see. i did a lil more research online and it seems that most women decline the pap when they are preggo and if their docs insisted, they were usually not happy with the experience.
