psychic spinoff poll question
I read the Brooke the Psychic question and then I thought this was an interesting question to pose. I do believe that some people have the ability to see things that others cant. On the other hand I think that if you want something bad enough and someone puts that thought towards yours you do make it happen.
What do you guys think?

Re: psychic spinoff poll question
Hmmmmmm.....I think your right. If you want something so bad and someone else puts that thought in your head as well, i think you start to really believe it until it happens.
However, i really never believed in Psychihcs until yesterday. My SIL went to one in Bayshore. Her name was Cecilia and she does it out of her home. It was $100.00 for a 1-2 hr reading. While normally i would be like *** are you doing spending that kind of $ on a psychic, my SIL said she hit everything right on the nose. My SIL gave her no information other than her first name. This woman told my SIL that DH & I (and she said DH's name) were going to the Dr. trying to have a baby and it would happen soon enough not to worry. She new all of the siblings names(DH is 1 of 5) and grandparents. She knew my BIL had diabetes since he was a kid. It was wierd the things she told SIL. I was thinking of going to her on Saturday but i don't know if i am kinda freaked out by this. This woman seemed to know everything.

Re: psychic spinoff poll question
I think there's a little bit of both at play--if she says it's going to happen a certain month, chances are you'll be upbeat and less stressed/frustrated that month, which we all know is helpful for TTC. And for some of us trying, it's really only just a matter of time that we hit the bullseye anyway. That said, I do think there's people out there with a real gift (and a lot of phonies). I've gone to psychics and gave them almost no info and they pick up on stuff they couldn't have known. One guy said my grandmother's brother was coming through--he named him by name and his cause of death. This wasn't someone I was really close to, so I never gave so much as a hint about it. My in-laws go to psychics. One told FIL he'd have a minor car accident. He did shortly after--someone hit him out of nowhere, so I can't see how that was a self-fullfilling prophecy.
I sent in Qs--If it's a placebo effect and I make myself get pregnant on her prediction, I'm still a happy camper!

Re: psychic spinoff poll question
I do agree with you and I am very skeptical when it comes to psychics. I never believed in them at all until recently. My best friend passed away 3 years ago and just recently her mom went to a psychic and the things that woman said and knew were absolutely amazing. There is no way she could have ever known some of the stuff she said.
I still dont completely believe but I am def more open to it now. I contacted Brooke to do a reading for me because I figured why not! its fun. Plus maybe it will give me some hope and help me not feel so bummed out whenever AF comes.
