Tommee Tippee Bottles?
So I've been researching bottles and to be honest- these have gotten the best reviews. All the other bottles I've looked at (Dr Brown, Avent, Playtex Drop ins) have had quite a few negative reviews to go along with the good reviews but Tommee Tippee seems to be top notch!
My question- for anyone who has used them or plans to use them- is this:
It seems like they stress how it's a great bottle for BFing moms because it's nipple is very close to the breast and it transitions well from breast to bottle and back etc
I will not be BFing and using formula exculsively. Do you think that matters? It shouldn't right?
I'm just so overwhelmed with bottles options!!

Re: Tommee Tippee Bottles?
From what I have read they are also good at preventing babies from getting too gassy because of how they are designed. I would prefer them over the Dr. Browns because there are fewer parts to clean (from what I can see).
However, they're expensive. A two-pack at BRU was $16!!
If I was supplementing, I'd splurge on these, but I will be EBFing in the beginning, and then I'll reconsider getting them. I used the PLaytex Drop Ins last time and had no issues with nipple confusion or gas.

I agree with the previous poster. Number one they are still really new. Give it six months and I am sure that you will see the negatives pop up somewhere (there is always a debbie downer) as far as formula feeding you shouldn't waste the money IMHO. Try a cheaper brand first.

Re: Tommee Tippee Bottles?
I don't think it matters. I think it is the best bottle if you are going to be BFing and supplementing, but even if you are just FF, the bottles get a great review for colicky infants. We got them (although I plan on BFing) and there aren't 5 million parts and I like the fact that they are compact!

They are pricey! But BRU had a great sale (I am not sure if they still do-buy one, get one 1/2 off)-we got the closer to nature-3 pack each-we spent about $25 for 6 total. The downside is I think they are exclusive to BRU, and I hate BRU.

I used Dr. Browns last time and loved them.
I am trying these Tommee bottles this time around. I bought a few bottles a couple weeks ago at BRU - they had a buy 1 get one 50%$ off sale.
I don't think it matters if you are not BFing. I'm not.

Tommee Tippee is a name that has been around in the UK for years, however these closer to nature bottles have only been around for like 4 years. I got a set of them recently and will be using them, they are very popular.
Your baby may or may not like them, it just depends on the baby really!

Re: Tommee Tippee Bottles?
THese have been out in the UK for years.
My best friend is from the UK and raves about these. Her "mum" has used them for all three of her children(including her) and she plans on doing the same.
I registered because she was so excited when she heard they wouldbe coming to the US! Originally i was sending her money to send them over to me!

These bottles aren't old at all, the brand has been around for a billion years, but these bottles are pretty new, they only came out in 2006. The brand has been around for 50 years, but these bottles are new.

I just had a look at the TT website, they only do these Closer To Nature bottles these days. I wonder which ones she is talking about. I have lived in the UK for over 10 years now and haven't seen any of their other bottles. Let me know what you find out.

The only negative thing I heard about the Dr Browns is that there are a lot of parts to wash. That's why I am opting for these.
