Is this weird??
So DH and I decided that next month will be our first month trying. I have wanted a baby for so long. It is all I can think about, dream about, and I am SO happy it is finally happening. There is a part of me however that is now petrified. I wanted DH to be excited and ready to start trying so badly and now that is he all on board I keep thinking to myself 'maybe we should wait a few more months..' I think the reality of the situation is finally starting to hit me. I know we are ready to be parents and I know we will be the best parents we can be but it is really scary!!! Did anyone here go through the same thing??

Holy crap, this is exactly what I am going through. We have talked about getting pregnant for what seems like forever but I really wanted dh to be on board and be just as excited as I was so he finally decided that he is more than ready and this upcoming cycle will be our first month trying. I am soooo excited that it is all I can think about. I dream about it, day dream about it, research it, etc. But the reality is sinking in and it is quite scary. I think it is normal to be feeling this way so there is no way I am putting it off for any longer. WHatever will be will be and hopefully it will be a short journey. When does your cycle start? Maybe we will be around the same time and can go crazy together LOL

I think you are right. I am sure most people go through this at some point! I think around this time of the month is the prime time for me to get pregnant but that is way too soon for me so we will be waiting until next month. So around March 20-22ndish. We probably wont start getting into temping and stuff unless we get BFNs a few times. For now we will just go with the flow and see if it happens that way.

We went through something very similar. We were actually in the middle of a cycle with the RE and were pretty confident that when went to our appt we would see mature eggs- and the reality hit us that we were going to be parents SOON  and we started to get really nervous!! All this stuff went through our heads like... are we ready to be tied down like this now.. etc.... Then we went to the RE appt and found that we were way too optimistic and there were in fact no mature eggs  and we had to start another round of meds which I'm on right now...... and all of a sudden everything we were apprehensive about was tossed out the window and we are SO excited to become parents now (whenever that may be!!) despite all the challenges that comes along with it!  (and, in my case, the challenge of getting pregnant  )

I should be ovulating around March 16, 17, or 18th.
I have been using OPK's and temping the past few months so I am pretty good at pinpointing Ovulation. I also have a very regular 28 day cycle. If you have any questions just ask. Good luck to you next month and enjoy

I dont think its weird, its a huge decision!. DH and I want a baby and we know we are ready. However, everytime I keep thinking about it I am like "I want a baby so bad I hope im preggo" and then a minute later I am like "well if I am not this month its ok because maybe we should wait a nother month or so" 
So yea.. I think its normal to feel this way.

I know how you feel. DH and I talked about maybe trying in April, but never really decided. Now, we decided that we are going to wait until July, after our vacation. It's still 4 months before we start trying, but us actually both agreeing on it was like Whoa!
I just said to him "What if I forget about the baby and leave it somewhere and go watch tv or do something stupid" Sounds dumb, but it was like a reality check that I/we will be responsible for a baby and I'm affraid to screw up. I'm sure this feeling would get much worse when the baby is born. I'm pretty sure most peopel feel this way and everyone gets through it though.
