Cheapest way to ship baby clothes to Egypt.

So my brother is expecting his first child next month. I promised to send some clothes and such for him to use. I went to the post office today and was shocked at what this will cost me. I have a 18lb old Huggies box from costco that will cost $105. Unfortunately I can't afford this. Do anyone know any other options to ship this overseas?

Unfortunately, USPS is probably the cheapest.

What if he sent you money for half or you sent it in portions? The other option is, if you have any friends for family members and you ask them to take it.

My IL's send packages to Croatia and Sweden and it usually runs them about that much.

UPS will be the cheapest. For extremely heavy boxes, USPS is NOT the cheapest method UNLESS use you the flat rate international boxes. That may be your best option.

What about those boxes at the post office that if it fits it ships, they are one price for a certain size. The big box of diapers wont fit, but the clothes will.

Yes the largest box will cost $60, but will only fit about a third of the clothes. There are no diapers, just using the box to fill with clothes. thinking I might need to greatly reduce what I'm sending.

before doing it, since you have it all boxed up already, bring it to the UPS store and get a quote. Can't hurt
