Curved Uterus and Fibroid Question
So I had my HSG done yesterday. Ain't going to lie - it was painful when he blew up that balloon, but it was fine afterwards. My tubes are clear (although the right side was slightly slower), but he did say I have a curved uterus and it could be because of a fibroid or it could just be my normal anatomy. I can't find much info about a curved uterus. Anyone have any experience with this? Is it the same as a tilted uterus? Would the fibroid have to be removed if it is in fact a fibroid?

Re: Curved Uterus and Fibroid Question
I read that most left-handed women have a curved or tilted uterus.
Are you left-handed?

Re: Curved Uterus and Fibroid Question
I have a tilted uteurs and my dr said it does not cause a problem with ttc and normally fixes itself during pregnancy. She said I was probably born that way.
She didn't mention anything about a fibroid so I'm no help there but try not to worry
And i'm not left handed

Re: Curved Uterus and Fibroid Question
No idea on the fibroid, but I know I have a curved uterus. Every exam the MD always had to use a different speculum than 'normal' to give me a pap. I am left handed.

Not left handed. I'm so confused because the doctor has never mentioned having to use a different speculum and I'd imagine if there is a fibroid he would have felt that during my exams. I'm worried that my scoliosis has pushed my uterus, causing it to become curved or tilted (I guess they are the same thing?). I guess I'll just wait for my sono to get more info on if it's a fibroid or not. Thanks ladies!

Re: Curved Uterus and Fibroid Question
I have a tilted uterus and a fibroid.
No doctor ever mentioned a problem with having a tilted uterus.
My fibroid is on the outer wall of the uterus so it did not interfere with my pregnancies. If it is on the interior wall it could impede implantation.
Hope that helps a little!
ETA - And I am right handed. Never heard about a correlation between left-handedness and tilted uterus.
