my friend is getting married in the fall and i am a BM. we're getting ready to order dresses now, but i am in the 2ww and if its not this month, we'll be trying again and again.
SOOOO, what size should i order? i don't really want to tell anyone we're TTC, BUT when i go to place the order, the bride will definitely know.
I really don't want to get a big size only to have to have it taken in if we run into problems conceiving. WWYD???

I would find out from the bride and the dress company when the latest you could order the dress would be and just wait until then.
And just a tip, don't over estimate how big you'll be. A few years ago DH's sister got married and his SIL and I were both in the bp. When she ordered her dress she was only a few weeks along and had no idea what size ot get. She ordered like 5 sizes up and it was a night mare trying to take it in.

thank you for this! we are ordering soon bc they are discontinuing the style so it's def going to be soon (and before AF is due) so i don't know what to do. thank you for the advice about ordering too big. i was going to order the biggest one they had (size 26) and i'm about a 10. i am reconsidering that now! maybe like a size 20? IF this month is a bfp, I'll be 30+ weeks.

DO NOT order a 26 if you're a 10! 1 size is usually +15 lbs.
I'm a BM in a June wedding, and we started TTC in October. I ordered a dress one size larger than what I measured. I'm still not pg, so they're definitely going to have some alterations to do....

thanks ladies. i think i'll go with a 16 or 18. worst case scenario i'll have to have a panel put in or something. or maybe i wont get as big as i think i will

I'm in a wedding and the bride knows my plans. We went separately from the rest of the bridal party and explained to the salon. They suggested that we not place the order until we realllly have to. If I'm not pregnant by then, they might order it a little larger (at this point the wedding won't be too far away). If I am pregnant by the time we need to order, I'll get the dress i in maternity (fortunately it comes in maternity!).
