Has anyone had an HSG?
Where they x-ray the uterus? I was just wondering if it was painful, or if it is similar to a pap?

I'm going for one in the next couple of weeks (waiting for AF to come so I can schedule it). I've heard it can feel like AF cramps. Some say it's painful, others say it's not. My doc said to take Tylenol before I go. Here's a link to maybeamommy's detailed experience. I think there's also a post on IF about this right now.

I did last week. Most people (from what I have been told) experience no pain - mild cramping. I on the other hand had very bad cramping. I got sick (vomiting) and couldn't go to work after. But I am the exception not the rule. It turns out my tubes were clear and I am hoping for a BFP this month, which I hear happens with greater frequency after an HSG
