Please tell me how you get puke smell out of your couch and carpet

We have a stainmaster couch, so it didn't stain it, but I still smell it. I have used fabric cleaner and odor eliminator.

The carpet is just gross.

Please share your tips.

Have you tried baking soda on your carpet? Just put some down, let it sit, then vaccum up?

Not sure it it will work, but it is worth a try. That or some vinegar in a spray bottle maybe???

I always use carpet cleaner, and it comes out.

i use the vinegar & baking soda when it is milk puke & it works great

Ugh, I cleaned my couch 4 times with various cleaners. It took awhile, especially cause most of it was in between 2 cushions! I'd try the vinegar/baking soda. Hope it works!

Call your cleaning lady. she has all kinds of tips! We use Resolve Concentrated Carpet Cleaner. It's for the steam machine but DH puts a little bit of it into a spray bottle with some water for in between steam cleanings. The dog has a sensitive tummy so we had to figure out what works (gee, have I ever told you I have a dog? ). We have used this product on couch and carpet.

I had to have Stanley Steamer come in to really get the smell out...we used carpet cleaner and used our steam cleaner immediately afterwards, but couldn't get it out by ourselves.

And open the windows and get the smell out that way.

When Christopher had it, it was the middle of the night and I opened his window and mine and the bathroom. I think nice, cold air is a great way to kill the germies too
