Closing off Attic Access?
Anyone know how to close off access to the attic in a closet ceiling?
We have a 2'x2' hole in the ceiling of the closet in the future baby's room and need to close it off because it lets cold air in.
Of course, we'll still need to access the attic at times.
What do we do?

Re: Closing off Attic Access?
Can you maybe insulate the closet door somehow? Or maybe just get a draft guard to slip under the door of the closet?

Re: Closing off Attic Access?
I think the best way would be to have a sheet of plywood that hangs in the opening (probably supported by the beams on either side of the opening. You can make it drop down to be even with the rest of the ceiling). Put insulation on the attic side of the plywood, and let it overhang the plywood a bit to cover the seam.

That's what I have in my closet.
