Ughh!! Skin breaking out

I have been breaking out like crazy since being off the pill. I just bought an Arbonne mask, hoping this will help. Not sure if it is any good, I just happen to go to a party last week and the girl talked me into ti. I really don't have much experience with this, and hope my body adjusts itself. This is my 3rd month off. Did anyone have a similar experience and did it adjust itself? or any advice?
TIA

yes my skin has been a nightmare since i have been off BCP. but its because i have PCOS. i didnt know i had it til i went off BCP. the acne is a major symptom.

regardless of the reasons for the acne, apparently theres nothing we can really take for it while TTC (according to my dermatologist). ive been using both 10% benzoyl peroxide wash and salicylic acid.. they work a bit but i still break out a lot more than i did on BCP... Chat Icon

my dermatologist said both topicals are fine for ttc and pregnancy.

ohh ok i think i mis-read your post..when you said there was nothing you could take while ttc i though you meant face wash with salicylic acid in it

either way, i didnt know that there are certain things you shouldnt take while ttc

sorry to be confusing - my derm said that there is nothing he could prescribe orally that would be safe during pregnancy. he said you can use topicals and that over the counter products with 10% benzoyl peroxide are the same strength as any topical he would prescribe anyway. he said both benzoyl and salicylic acid were safe.

what you can and cant take while TTC is a personal choice. although there are varying opinions on this - the only things i personally wouldn't take while TTC are things that aren't safe during pregnancy - like a lot of dermatological prescriptions (like accutane).

I sort of answered this in your other post, but I break out on my chest every month right around ovulation. I've never had this before.
I workout a lot but I'm careful not to hang around in workout clothes too long.
I'm going to use a salicylic-based body wash (neutrogena) to see if that helps.

I never had acne as a teen and barely ever broke out on the pill. After I went off, my skin on my face got oily for the first couple of months. It's back to normal now and I haven't had any facial breakouts. Not sure what gives with the chest, but clearly it's hormonal since it's right around O.

Re: Ughh!! Skin breaking out

Ive been off BCP for a year now and have PCOS as well (you might want to get checked for that). My skin still breaks out quite easily. the only thing that has helped is the Clinique three step regime...ive tried everything!Chat Icon sorry - i know it's frustrating!Chat Icon

Re: Ughh!! Skin breaking out

I have been off BCP since September. My skin has a little breakout here and there. But sometimes I think its a good thing because my body is adjusting to me producing my own hormones.
