If you are getting two, yes..otherwise, I think the asymmetry would look odd...

Sure, but as some others said, you might want to flank the TV on both sides or it might look unbalanced

You can totally do one. But you would want to put something on the left side of the TV. I nice piece of art on the wall or pictures or a tall vase with something tall coming out of it to go with the rest of the decor in your room. Do you have a better picture of the TV wall so we can see the whole wall? And I love the shelf. Def. get it.
