Would you try to pass this guy off as Elmo?
I am doing a gym party for Ryan's 2nd birthday but he loved Elmo at a certain someone's  party recently so I thought, as a bonus, we'd rent a costume and have my brother dress as Elmo and make an appearance.
A friend of the family has this costume and offered it. Would you use ghetto-Elmo for a 10-minute appearance??

DD looked at the picture and this was our conversation:
DD: Who's that?
Me: Who do you think it is?
DD: I don't know. A bird?

Eddie is sitting on my lap watching steam engines on youtube in another firefox window and I showed him the ghetto elmo and he corectly identified him but even so, Id have to pass on ghetto elmo.

Totally reminds me of the Elmo they had dancing around the pool at a resort we went to in Mexico.
In ghetto Elmo's defense DD did still think it was Elmo.

It depends how much of a joke you mind this turning out to be b/c it is pretty funny to pass him off as Elmo.

I don't think a thred has ever made me laugh outloud like this!!! I just showed it to dd who loves elmo and she stared at him for a bit and said "elmo?? He looks funny!". I was hysterical! But if he was dancing in a room I am sure she wiuldnt think twice about him. And it could be great entertainment for the parents. I would go for it!!
