Would you have your DH come?
As I've written in a couple of posts, I will be seeing my OB (not an RE yet) tomorrow for my annual pap as well as a discussion of my fertility "issues."
I am not the type that necessarily needs my DH to hold my hand and I've had 4-5 doctor appts. late this year for an unrelated situation and I've never asked (nor has he offered) to come to those.
But...he did offer to get out of work early and come to this one. If this is the case, I will need to arrange for babysitting.
If you were me, would you have your DH come?

I have the same appointment this month and my DH wanted to come with me, but I told him not to. I just don't see the point. He doesn't have any questions and just needs a script for a SA, which I can get for him.

If you want him there to talk about the fertility issues and possible alternative procedures if necessary... then I say sure why not??! it's not like it's a REGULAR pap smear appt... you plan on discussing things that do pertain to him!!

I just had one of those appts and didn't bring DH. I knew it would also include a Pap and exam so didn't feel he needed to be there for it.
My doc is sending me for a LOT of blood work (I've been to the lab every other day since 12/31). When the results are in, if there's anything to discuss, I will definitely bring DH.
But I think if you want him there, sure!

Well, the question was answered for me when DH basically insisted that he come. He feels he should be there. I guess I'm secretly relieved by that.
I'll update you all later as to the results of our discussion with the doctor!

I'm glad he did that...If my DH asks me if I "want" him to do something I usually say "no you don't have to" but its sometimes nice when they just want to...

Thats good that he wants to be there. If I was going to an RE, I would want my Dh to be there for support, but I wouldnt want him in the room watching me get a pap smear lol!! I would want him to be in the room while we are discussing our options and such.
