Onto month 6... AF came 3 days ago... Saw OB/GYN yesterday

This is just so hard! We did everything perfect and nothing. We charted, OPK's, Preseed, BD 5 nights in a row during optimum time, cut back on caffeine, Prometrium, etc.

I saw my doctor yesterday. I told her what's been going on and that we're not PG obviously, but at least the Prometrium has made my LP from 9 days to 12 days so that's good. My doctor said that 5 months is average, even longer, but since we know I have Endo and definitely have scar tissue, we're scheduling me for another HSG for this upcoming week. I had one over a year ago and back then the tube leading to my only functioning ovary was blocked a little bit. We don't know if it is or not, it may not be, but we're going to try it. Then if we don't get PG 1-3 months after the HSG she's going to give me Clomid. Not sure if that will help or not since we're pretty sure I'm ovulating on my own. She just said that sometimes it helps people get PG. Then if that doesn't work after a couple of months then we're not sure what to do? Probably surgery again. And here I thought that a 6 month treatment of Lupron would help fix things. Yeah right... So much for that idea.

THis whole TTC thing is so frusturating! But at least it sounds like you have a plan for the next few months...

from me! My doctor from the start told me that 6 months was AVERAGE! It's just so hard to hear that...not sure if it makes it better or worse. i think a plan is great...at least you are taking control where you can.

if this process has taught me anything, its patience... TTC is just a whole bunch of waiting for different things to happen at whatever pace they want to happen..

have you considered seeing an RE?

I can't see an RE. I don't have any infertility coverage until I'm at my job for 2 years. That won't be until 8/4/10.

This may not be of any help to you, but the only months when i didnt get a BFP was when I used pre-seed... maybe try a month doing everything else, charting, OPKs, but no pre-seed... you never know...
