DH is stressing me out!!
So my DH has been pretty good at being supportive during this whole TTC extravaganza... we are on our 10th cycle, and everytime AF comes I get all upset and he is right there to hold me and tell me not to worry, it will happen for us, we just have to be positive, etc, etc. I will tell him that AF is here, i will see a quick half a second glimpse of disappointment on his face and then he is calm, supportive, and hopeful for the next month.
so i was a little surprised - and hurt - today when he comes up to me all stressed looking to tell me that his friend and his wife are pregnant with their second LO. dh says "we should be pregnant already, they are already on their second and we dont even have one yet" he looked me up and down and said." i hope nothing is wrong" i felt so crappy. and broken.
of course this led to an argument, and i got upset, he apoligized, and then we were eventually ok with eachother again. but geez, talk about adding stress!!
in a way though, it was kind of interesting to see HIM get a little bit envious of another couple getting pregnant...when it seems like its always us ladies that get hit the hardest with that kind of stuff. i guess it shows just how much he wants US to be pregnant and for him to be a daddy
thanks for reading, and for letting me vent!!

Re: DH is stressing me out!!
It sounds like you have a pretty great DH there! Once in a while it's nice to see that they're as emotionally invested as we are! Glad you worked it out...

I agree here..I think we as women forget that our husbands hurt like we do..that they want this as much as we do. We want them to be our rock and our support...but sometimes they need support too..I totally get where you are coming from though..
I read this blog written by a man who's wife had trouble getting pregnant. It was eye opening to read these words and hear it from his side..just thought you'd like to read it. I know i did.

I think this is helpful- I too forget that my dh has as much invested in getting pg as me- its happening to us, not just me.
I am sorry that you guys argued though, its just added stress

Couldn't have said it better myself. Sound like your DH loves you, wants to have a baby with you, and is worried about you. He may also be worried about himself - a lot of guys feel like their manhood is measured by their fertility.
I totally get how you feel, though. It's hard to not feel defective when everyone around you snaps their fingers and *poof!* they're pg. Someone told me to try something romantic and not TTC related to de-stress. Might be good advice for you, also.

Re: DH is stressing me out!!
It's so hard when you realize DH is really invested too. My DH doesn't say too much, similar to your DH...just supportive and says we'll try next month. Out of the blue a couple weeks ago he said, "I really wish you were pregnant right now." UGH!
