I'm having a really bad day. Vent.

I'm just really cranky and just not feeling my usual self. Little things that shouldn't be setting me off are just sending me on a complete tirade. My poor DD, she is getting a good portion of it today First, she accidentally let the cat out and it took us three hours to get him back, then she just spilled her apple juice all over the living room rug, and while those things are normally just par for the course with a three year old, I just lost it and yelled at her completely. Then my husband, I could just smack him today. Our driveway is a sheet of ice because we have a sump pump that spits water on it when our basement floods (we live like a stone's throw from the water, who puts a basement in a house that close to the water??? ), and he was supposed to get ice melt for the driveway and TWO TIMES today he went out and "forgot" to get the ice melt. Who does that? It was his ONLY purpose for going out! Then, my parents bought tickets for us and them and my sister and her family to go see this cute little show with the kids, and as we're about to leave, my husband says, "Don't look worry about the cat, I'll look for him while you guys are gone." Um, what? Excuse me? He claims he "forgot" that he was going. WHO forgets that they're going somewhere with their family? That just made me lose it. Ugg. I HATE being cranky. It's so not in my normal nature to feel this way, and the fact that I cannot shake it today is just killing me. Anyway, I just needed to vent about that because I know it's my hormones from being pregnant, but still, I feel like a monster today.

we all have our days. i would lose it too if dh was that forgetful with everything you said though.. feel better. try to get some rest.

I did that he went out twice for ice melt and still forgot it. What did he come home with???

The first time he came home with Subway sandwiches but the second time, he was AT Home Depot and brought home random pvc pipe pieces WHAT he planned to do with them, I have no idea, but when I suggested that maybe he use it to redirect the water from the pump, he looked at me like I had 10 heads

I;m sorry hun! Don't beat yourself up-we all have those days. And I would be furious at DH because that is an accident waiting to happen. If he still hasn't purchased the ice melt, you can throw some of your cat's litter on the ice for traction. We used to do that when in a pinch and it worked!

Thanks, girls Venting on here actually made me feel much better. I should have done it sooner Now my hubby is asleep on the couch and my DD is asleep in her bed and I am relaxing, so all is right in my world again.
