What is Preseed?

I see people mentioning it all the time and I have no clue what it is or why you use it or how you use it. DH and I are starting ttc in a few months and I want to have everything ready LOL

Preseed is a sperm-friendly lube. Supposedly, it can also mimic cervical mucus, so you stick it inside to act like cervical mucus.

There is also a product called "Pre" that is a tube of lube that you would use like KY. While this also doesn't harm sperm, it doesn't serve the same exact purpose as mimicing CM because it's thinner and isn't inserted directly inside.

Google it for specific product information and where to purchase It's my first month trying it and I'm VERY skeptical.... The actual packaging says nothing about this "mimicing CM" mumbo jumbo, but we shall see..

Pre-seed is a sperm-friendly lube. It doesn't help you get pregnant necessarily, but it won't kill sperm like KY can.

Keep in mind though - Preseed may mimic CM in the vagina, but it doesn't actually get into the cervix like real EWCM. (Preseed helps the swimmers get TO the cervix, but once they get there, they're kind of on their own w/o internal CM). Drinking green tea, grapefruit juice, and just staying hydrated will help increase CM in the cervix and help sperm get to their ultimate destination.
