NPR-WHYYYYYY!!!!
Why did both my washing machine and dryer break tonight.

It could be an easy fix. DH fixed our dryer twice. I think the belt broke once, can't remember what the other issue is. The part that broke in the washer prevented it from spinning. DH did some basic research online and was able to find the manual and order the parts. It cost about $20 and 1 hour of labor. Definately google the problem first. Good luck!

Aww man, both at once, that sucks. There are probably some good sales right now though because of the holidays if you do have to replace. But definitely see if either are a quick fix to start. And if you have to buy, check out Craigslist - we sold a perfectly nearly-new set when we bought our house only because we already had a set.

Thanks! DH couldn't fix a cup of pudding! Our awesome neighbor is looking at it tomorrow.
