Why do people feel this is an acceptable question?
"Are you pregnant?"
WTH is wrong with people? Obviously some people don't care to share very early (and in my case for GOOD reason). If I wanted you to know, I WOULD TELL YOU!
When I was PG in July, a junior person at work called me in front of colleagues at a bar (bc I wasnt drinking) and I avoided the question... Well I lost the baby a week and a half later, so there's a reason people shouldnt do that!
Now my DS' nanny constantly asks me this and badgers me that DS really needs a sibling so badly so hurry up (despite knowing i had THREE MCs since January and have been under the care of an RE). She was so INSENSITIVE surrounding these MCs with her comments that it's unreal (including getting the story wrong and continuing to ask about the baby long after it was lost). Now I am almost at the point where I can tell her but she was just so rude the other days when she said "so how's the baby thing going?" that I dont even feel like it. I just don't understand why people dont understand what a sensitive and inappropriate question it is

Honestly I would tell people to MYOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That kind of thing annoys me. Also D/S's nanny needs to be put in her place.

I'm so sorry, I know how you feel. I have very bad morning sickness so it's kind of hard to hide, and everyone kept asking me if I was pregnant that I just "came out" early because I felt like I was forced too. People just don't have any tact anymore.

Ugh. I hear ya. A few months back- WAY before I was even thinking of being pregnant some dude in my office- who I know pretty well but we aren't close at ALL- came over to me and goes- Can I ask you a personal question? IMO if you have to preface a question like that- you probably should not ask it of a coworker But I said OK He goes- Are you pregnant?
I was like NO why?
He was like- well your boobs look bigger!
I almost died. Granted I had found an amazing push up bra and I was looking a little more endowed, but HOLY inappropriate in the office Batman!
I said no I am definitely not pregnant and if you'd like to bring me a bottle of Jack Daniels I will drink it right now to prove it!
Point of the matter though- what if i WAS pregnant and not ready to share??? AWFUL!
