Doctor Question
Hi Ladies, DH and I are onto month #5. When do/should I go to see my doctor to discuss this and find out if everything is ok or if there is a problem?
I know some people probably think that is not a long time of TTC, but I am a bit impatient considering EVERYONE I know conceived first try or was an accident. Grr, if they only knew the stress.

I think it is dependant on your age- I think under 35 wait a year- over 35 6 months?

Ugh! I am28. I thought you were supposed to wait LESS time if you are younger and more time if you are older since it is expected it can take longer.

Just a note from my personal experience:
If your Mom happened to go through menopause early - check with your dr - mine is only giving me 4 months due to that and my age (34)

It can't hurt to ask your doctor...but when I first spoke to my doctor about TTC he told me it takes on average a woman (under 35) 6 months to get pregnant....so as hard as it is I keep that in mind..I'm now on my 4th cycle post m/c...

This is also what my dr. told me.
Mine was even reluctant to do anything at 8 months and i'm 37 (was 36 at the time)
There is a very small percentage of a chance that you get pregnant each month, so it stands to reason that it may take a while.
hang in there and keep trying. i know its hard, but you have to be patient. I too have friends who have gotten pregnant very easy, and its hard to be on my 11th month of trying knowing that.. but everyone is different and we'll all get there eventually!
