October moms - how much is your little one sleeping and eating

Tyler was 4 weeks on Thursday - he is still eating every three hours (5 ounces)

Basically he is waking at night every 2-3 hours also.

Wanted to see how everyone else was doing.

Sydney and Chloe are 6 weeks...
They eat every 4 hours....4 oz's each....I get confused when they are up and when they sleep ( ie...dont know what is a "nap")...

They are up for about 1-2 hours after about 3 of the feedings, day/night doesnt matter.

Amelia is 2 1/2 weeks. She has been waking almost every hour to eat (growth spurt). The only time she doesn't is during he afternoon nap from 2-6, and at night. Thank GOD she sleeps through the night already or I'd jump out a window

My DS is 6 weeks today. He's eating about every 3.5-4 hours, 4 ounces. I'm sure he wants more but my doc told me i was overfeeding him before so now i'm scared of doing that to him again. He's a good eater though, he'll gulp anything down.

Sleep, that's another story - its gotten worse!!! He used to sleep for nice long stretches, about 4 hours, even during the day. And last week, he had 3 nights in a row where he slept for 6 hours!!!! We were so excited. But then, I don't know what happened. He's waking up ALL the time. He sleeps fine in my arms but now when i pput him down for a nap, he wakes up after 10-20 minutes. And at night he'll sleep one 4 hour stretch (after his "night" bottle) but after that he's waking about every 2 hours and i don't know why?!?!? Not to eat, just to fuss. I'm getting really frustrated and don't know what went wrong.

Right behind ya age-wise and I have NO clue how much she's eating. Since she's only getting the boob I can't tell She eats pretty much every 2.5-3 hours...but at night she's doing one long stretch from about 10ish-4. That's been for the last few days. Before that it was about 1ish....4ish...then 6ish.

Usually she's out after a feeding. But you saw her today...she was out for HOURS

Faith was 4 weeks on Friday. She is still waking every 2-3 hours and is eating 4-5 ounces.

Adriana was 5 weeks on Wednesday. She's been eating anywhere from 3-5 ounces of formula every 3-4 hours.

As for sleeping, it varies. She seems to be establishing a pattern everyother day: one day she'll sleep MOST of the day (I'm talking like 19-20 hrs) the next day she'll only take one or two naps and be very active and alert most of the day. Regardless, she's been giving us 5 hour stretches at night...those 5 hours don't always come at the most convenient time though. Like last night I put her down at 9:30. She dozed on and off until 12. I fed her and she fussed again until 2:30. I tried to feed her again, but as soon as I picked her up and brought her into the kitchen she was sound asleep and slept until just after 8 am this morning.

Any advice on how to shift her longest sleep period would be appreciated!

hey mommies! Ian will be 4 weeks tomorrow. as you can see from my post today im having feeding issues. but for the most part he's pretty good. he'll usually sleeping after his 10pm feeding until 2 or 3am then until 6am. after his 6am feeding hes usually up for the day with some naps during the day. those naps can be 1-2 hours each. today we did some tummy time...i love this kid!!!!!!:



what does everyone's LO do during the day when theyre not sleeping? we started tummy time and he lays on his back on the boppy playmat and stays in his swing.

ETA: when he does have formula he's eating 3-4 oz

Ugh, okay now I'm scared about how much he's eating...

DS was 4 weeks on Tuesday and he's going between 3 - 4 hours eating no more than 3.5 ounces, most times either 2.5 or 3 ounces and now I feel like that's not enough. We're having an especially bad feeding day today where he's not eating more than 2 to 2.5 ounces at a shot.

Colin is 2 wks old. He is EBF but my MD said he probably is getting 4-5 ounces (based on his gain of 17 oz in 9 days). He usually eats every 3 hrs or so.

As far as sleep, there is no real pattern yet. At night he is up to nurse every 3 hours or so, during the day sometimes he has 2-3 long stretches (3hrs) of sleep, and some days he just cat naps during the day - hard to tell yet.

Hi everyone.

DD is 4 weeks today. She eats 3 oz. every 3 hours. Once she is burped and changed after her feeding, she usually goes right to sleep.

Lily is almost 6 weeks; she eats every 2-3 hours except at night when she's been sleeping 4-6 hours at a time. I don't know how much she eats because she's BF, but when I pump and give her the bottle she'll eat about 4 oz easily. She naps during the day in between feedings 30 min to 2 hours at a time.

I was supposed to be an Oct mom, but DD made her grand entrance on Nov 1. She is two weeks and we just started giving her 3oz last night. She eats every 3 1/2-4 hours.
