Ovarian cysts and ttc
I have a history of having ovarian cysts and about 3 years ago I had one rupture. At my last obgyn checkup last dec I had a sono which showed a very tiny cyst on my left ovary. It posed no symptoms until about two months ago, of course when we decided to ttc. Does anyone know if cysts affect ttc or is anyone in the same boat as me?? TIA

My friend was TTC for several months and nothing was happening, her Dr discovered a cyst on both ovaries. She had surgery to remove it, the next month she got pregnant. The whole time The cyst was blocking the egg.
I would check to see if your cyst grew, just to be on the safe side.

I have one on the right side that pretty regularly causes me pain and I had a sono where the tech told me " oh you probably ovulated and the egg came out of the area where the cyst is cause its bloody" I seriously almost fell off the table. I am wondering too if this is one of my issues. I have to go back in 6 weeks to see if the little sucker is still there.
I am interested in seeing what everyone else had to do if the cyst stayed, do you have to have surgery and what does that consist of.

I have had several surgeries to remove cysts but most cysts I've let rupture and pass.
The one I just had removed was a dermoid cyst which is not really healthy to leave. It had grown larger than my left ovary and as soon as the doctor began to make the surgical incision it ruptured. Dermoids can lead to miscarriage and for me, this cyst may have been what stopped me from ovulating for months.

The one I just had removed was a dermoid cyst which is not really healthy to leave. It had grown larger than my left ovary and as soon as the doctor began to make the surgical incision it ruptured. Dermoids can lead to miscarriage and for me, this cyst may have been what stopped me from ovulating for months.
I have a dermoid cyst also and my doctor said that so long as it didn't grow to be 5 CM or larger, then not to worry about it. Also she said that if I didn't get pregnant after trying for a few months, they would check the size again and we'd re-evaluate. But she wasn't concerned at all.
Over the summer I had an abdominal MRI for something else, but we could see the dermoid cyst and it was only 2cm, and I got pregnant the next month so I'm hoping it's not a big concern.
With dermoid cysts, the problem is that it can grow bigger - my doctor said that so long as I was on BC, it should be controlled, but once I got off BC, there was a chance it would grow bigger, so to try to get pregnant right away.
That said, they've also found other cysts and some are normal during the time you're ovulating or menstruating. But it all depends on the type of cysts and whether or not they go away.

I had a large one on my left ovary, and got pregnant this month. It will happen<3
Also, one ruptured in September, A month later, I'm pg!

I have PCOS so I have cysts all the time but this one was out of control. Mine grew larger than my left ovary and then kept growing and hanging off. They also found thyroid hormones in it during the biopsy which they said was abnormal.
I wasn't trying to scare anyone, mine was really big and it was a huge concern. It wasn't a big concern last February when it was small though.

Just wanted to say- I have PCOS (Poly cystic ovarian syndrome) and i got pregnant with no problems really.
I went of BCP and the doctor said my best bet on getting pregnant was i the first few months after I went off. I got pregnant on month 4- which was only the 2nd month we actually "tried". And I didn't temp or use OPKs..i just Bd's when I thought I would O.
