Spinoff: REGULAR flu shot - anyone (who is planning to get DC vaccinated) not able to do so yet?
DD was scheduled to get her flu shot on 10/20...on the 19th, the receptionist called to cancel because they didn't have any left...
The ped's office called me last week to tell me they have the flu mist, but no shots yet...I declined the mist for DD since she's only 2...But they can't tell me WHEN I can get her the reg flu shot, as they don't know when it will be in...
I'm getting very anxious because she has a history of getting sick easily, and it is already November...
Anyone else having a hard time getting DC the flu shot??? Anyone know of a hospital / ped's office who still has them available??

Yeah, my ped's office ran out the week my kids were supposed to get it... this was a few weeks ago. Last week they call me to offer me a spot to come back and get it since they got a shipment... of course with my luck both my kids had terrible colds so I had to turn them down. Now they're out of it again and I'm scr*wed!

I have been on a waiting list since Oct 2nd at my ped's office for DD. I got mine free at work, but they will not give it to children. I am in the same boat as you and getting frustrated b/c it is now Nov

My ds got it but my niece and nephew missed out. They go to the same ped as DS and their appt was only 2 days later but they ran out

DD's scheduled to get the regular flu shot on Friday...we'll see if they have it in stock when I call to confirm on Wednesday. I hope so

Me! DD got her first dose 4 weeks ago and now she is supposed to get her 2nd dose and the doctor's office said they ran out!

Yes, everytime they tell me to call they don't have it and I have to call back in a month. I called today and they finally have it. Hopefully they don't run out before our appointment
