98.2 BBT Reading??
So I got a 98.2 reading this morning and today is CD 2...Im so confused.... I thought my temps are supposed to be lower than this especially during AF Please help lol

Where your previous temps just as high or did they go higher when you got AF??
I thought i read that temping during AF was optional b/c the numbers do get wacky and are insignificant...its the numbers after AF is gone that should be low...

Did you temp as soon as you woke up?
From what I understand is even if you got up to use the bathroom your temp goes up.

I've also heard that your temps during AF could still be high and that once she's gone they should go down.

This is my 1st time temping and I've just never seen the temps so high on other peoples charts so I was starting to get worried. Hopefully it'll start to go down after AF

Yes I took my temp before I got out of bed. I woke up DH and he goes "I cant believe your waking me up with that thing at 6am"  Then I said "Baby, this is what we have to do if we want to have a baby" and I heard "Uh huh" and he rolled over and went back to bed as my digital BBT beeped every 3 seonds
I also re-took my temp after the shower (b/c I thought maybe it was broken) and my temp actually went down to like 97.4 or something

You can not compare your temps to another person's. It's completely relative. For you, that temp may be low. You don't know yet b/c you need to keep temping in order to start to see a pattern. Just keep at it!

I just tested again- just to see if the temp went higher or lower...and now its reading 98.2 AGAIN?? How could that be possible?
wake up temp 98.2
coming back from work- testing just to see if there was a change for my own sake and it was 98.2 AGAIN

I've had some irregular temps during AF. You should look the pattern and not so much individual temps.

your temp during AF is erratic. so much so that many people dont even temp during it since they really dont mean anything.
if AF ends and its still higher than your average (esp if AF is really short) i would test just to be sure you arent PG.
however i wouldnt be concerned at all about any weird temps during AF otherwise.
also as previous poster said, dont worry about a specific days temps, its really the pattern that matters, every once in awhile theres an outlier for one reason or another so dont get bogged down in day to day.

Thank you everyone!!! I tested again this morning and I came in at 97.1 ... I hope it stays down so that I can feel normal and get ready for my O haha
