8DPO is wayy too early. Optimally, wait for 12-14DPO.

I couldn't hold out either when I was TTC. You can get an early result though. At 9DPO I got a BFN but on 10DPO..........BFP!!! Faint, faint line but it was there. Each day the line darkened. By the 32nd test I took that line was REALLY dark!!! Not even kidding.......TOTAL POAS addict!!!

Wait until AF is supposed to arrive. But if you feel the "obsession" coming on... Take the money you would use to spend on HPTs and put it somewhere. Repeat as necessary. At the end of the cycle, whatever the result, use the money to buy something for yourself.
