Back from my OB appt...

Everything has resolved itself with just slight residual fluid left over from my ovarian cysts that ruptured. He told me to follow up with the RE for further infertility meds..

I called the RE we had used for one month and apparently they gave all incorrect information to my insurance company and since it was already sent they cannot fix it, I cannot follow up with them until June 2010. I spoke with the highest up in the company that I could and pretty much got an 'oh well'. So I am going to put in a phone call to my insurance company (which they are pretty much a stickler to begin with..) - so I haven't told DH yet..I am not anticipating this going over well..

And to answer from my previous post from last night - I don't ovulate, all of the bloodwork that they have taken monthly for the past 5 months can measure certain hormones to see if you have ovulated that month.. all of them have come back negative. I am going to look into more theraputic measures on the internet to see if I can find something that we can try on our own, as we have many more months to wait until June rolls around..

Why can't they see you until June? Bc of their mix-up? That doesn't seem fair.

The insurance company needs 12 months of DOCUMENTED infertility. So once you try on your own for a while and then go into see the RE - its 12 months from your first visit with the RE until I can start IUI's or furter monitoring on my cycle. They had told me originally they put it in that it was 9 months total we were trying and we would have two months more on our own before we could officially start monitoring. Now they changed their story today and started backpedaling and saying 'We never said that'. Its extremely frustrating. So pretty much I am probably going to be looking at one long cycle between now and June 2010 because I don't get AF without provera...

I would not give up hope. Keep calling around. We weren't even TTC yet (Not even married yet) when I began getting help because I wasn't ovulating. If you think it's the doctor's office's screw up they won't fix, go there and meet with someone in person. You'd be surprised how easy they can brush you off on the phone, but not when you are in person.

As for the insurance company, I'd stock up on tons of dollar tree tests and pee on all of them. Send 50 of them to the insurance company, certified mail, and put a note asking if that's enough documentation for them.

If I wasn't pushy about getting help with my infertility, I'd still be at step one.

That is insane. They are counting IF as 1 year from first seeing the RE??? That doesn't make any sense. Tell them you were trying for a year before even went to go see the RE the first time.
In addition, read all of your IF coverage carefully. There is most likely an exception because you have a known issue. Have they diagnosed you with PCOS? If you don't ovulate, you can't get pregnant on your own no matter how long you try for. Even though I am not TTCing right now, we got new insurance and I read through the IF benefits. It said the same thing - no coverage until after trying for 12 months, but if you have a known medical issue that makes it impossible to get pregnant, this is an exception.
I know this must be so frustrating but it is absolutely ridiculous to have to wait until June. You should totally fight this. Most RE's offices have someone who deals with insurance companies. Have you spoken to them about it? If they won't help you, contact another RE's office.
