Annoying comments... the other kind!
I've been getting so many comments lately about how I have all this time to have a baby and how in 5 years when I have baby... blah blah blah.
We're keeping the fact that we're TTC a secret from family and friends because we don't want the pressure and the constant questions about how it's going. But on the flip side, all of these people comment about how we are so young and have so much time before we should have a baby. It makes me feel like when we actually do get pregnant and tell everyone they will be disappointed we didn't wait longer.
We're 27!
I'm just venting... I guess I just wish people would leave their comments to themselves and stop making me look like an idiot while I smile and nod and LIE about our plans.

I am right there with you. We are both 24. My dad kept saying "Don't do yourselves any favors.", my mom would respond to ppl who asked her about grandchildren with, "They just moved into a 1BR apt so I guess no time soon." or "When would I even see them they live 5 hours away". MIL says things like well once your own a house and are ready for a baby. No one knew we were ttc. I am so worried they won't be excited when we tell them this weekend that we are pregnant. I will be 6 weeks, and am so nervous of how they will react. I totally get exactly where you are coming from. I will let you know how they react so you know what to expect.

Tell me about it. Many of my coworkers have had children later--mid-to-late 30s. I'm 29 turning 30 very soon and people are constantly telling me to wait and I have time. How do you know!?!? And why do you assume that having kids later is better?
It's a personal choice and there is no right or wrong answer--I don't get why people need to throw in their 2 cents!

How about this one...I have customers at work who say (all the time) "be thankful you don't have kids" ARE THEY SERIOUS? Just b/c you hate your life & wish you hadn't of had children b/c you rather spend all your free time at the bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck...I know what you are going through. After our m/c my mom had some jabs & I fear the day I have to tell her we're PG again.

I feel the same way!!! and DH is famous for saying "we have all the time in the world" he said this when we had a m/c eariler this month I cant stand it!! It makes me 10x more ******!!!!!

OMG I think my family members go to your bar. I have a DS and I adore him and would never say that to someone. What you have to understand is people like that have what I call "Trendy Kids" meaning everyone else was doing it and so did they. I don't know where peoples manners and tact went. But geez. What ever happened to being polite

I get it alot too. People will tell me we have a while before we need to worry about having kids, to enjoy being married, enjoy life, travel, etc. But in my heart, a child will just make all of that the more special. I get that it's hard. I really do. But it's what we want and we know we're ready for it.
It's just like married people telling you when you're engaged that you should wait to get married, don't make the mistake, it's only a piece of paper, etc.
