OPK's

Ok I am sure this has been asked a million times...but if you could just help me out I'd appreciate it.

I have never used OPK's never really read posts about them either b/c I wasn't using them....but now that I want to start I am lost...

What kind do you recommend? is it worth the extra for the digital? I'd pay it if it's easier. How much do they cost??

I got my first set off of earlypregancytests.com... pretty good deal but I even got a better deal off of amazon. I wasnt spending the extra money on the smiley face ones.

The ones off amazon/early pregnancy test worked for me b/c the line was very clear as to when I was ovulating. Hope that helps...good luck!

Last month (our first month) I used the first reponse 20 pack OPK's and this month I decided to get serious and I wanted to test twice a day right after my period was finished so I have been using the dollar store brands from Dollar tree (alot of girls have used them on this site) because of the amount of OPK's that I was going to use.

I am testing with FMU and around 6:30. they recommend that you don't use FMU but I know a few girls on here have used it and gotten positives OPK's.
They recommend that you limit your liquid intake and you hold your pee for 4 hours. Also someone also recommended if you are using the tests that you collect urine in a cup, you let it sit for about a half an hour before testing so that it gets room temperature

Jen, I meant to tell you, with the CBE OPK, you CAN use FMU. It says so in the booklet and thats what I used and I got a smiley.

I have been using the dollar tree ones the last 2 months, they seem to work good for me. I can't use FMU, but I just test around 3 pm and so far its been working. Goodluck!

I bought for this month the FR 20 pack. It seems to be working ok- However, when i first tried using them months ago i never really got a darker line..(so i never thought the worked).

I think next month i am heading to the dollar store. The FR are $$$$.

Good question.... I am also going back and forth on what to buy... I feel like I am going to be too confused with the lines and it might be too much "guess work" for me.... so Im thinking of getting the CBE ones...but they are SO Expensive!!!!

i used the ones from the dollar tree, no problem reading the lines at all.

didn't pee after 3 pm and tested when i got home from work around 5:30....i definitely couldn't hold it for more than that, as soon as i knew i couldn't go, i felt like i would burst.

After some thought I think I'm going w/ the digitals. I really think it will be easier for me to be able to use FMU and not have to hold it and stuff...plus it will be clear when I'm oing...so for me it's worth the extra $$$$ for a piece of mind...
