I'm New Here and Unfortunately Have a Deadline :(
Hello all! I posted a few times on here a few months ago when I thought for sure I was PG! Now I have a deadline, LOL, because DH is having surgery in February so if I dont get PG before then I wont have a baby for a VERY LONG time! IT really sucks to have this deadline so I just want to vent since no one knows we are TTC I just needed to get it off my chest! Any tips? Good luck to everyone else out there!

first of all welcome and good luck!
to increase your chances, your best bet is to use OPKs to predict ovulation, and temp to confirm ovulation.
if you don't have it already i suggest buying the book Taking Charge of your Fertility.

When we start trying- Im going to buy Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor because I want to get as much info as I can get.

there are two kinds - regular line tests and digital. the line tests need to be "interpreted" - meaning that you need to be able to tell which line is darker. they are really all the same.
the Clear Blue Easy Digital OPKs are very easy to read - you get a smiley face that looks like  when you are surging right before you ovulate. those are more expensive but you don't need to read any lines.

Welcome!
The best piece of advice i can give you right now (and the hardest to follow) is to relax.
this can be a very stressful and overwhelming process if you let it - you can get very caught up in all the details and stress yourself out. I think it's very easy to lose sight of the fact that our bodies don't always do what we want them to, despite all our best efforts! To give yourselves the best chance, definitely track your ovulation with OPK's and time your BD'ing around that.
Perhaps talk to your dr about it as well to see what they suggest.

I would recommend getting a Clear Blue Easy Fertility MOnitor. I got pregnant my second month of trying with my first baby. Good luck!

Thanks everyone! I bought the Clear Blue Easy Digitals today. Wow, didnt know they were so $$!!! This really is such a scary time for me. I've only been married a little over a year and I would have preferred to wait a little longer but this surgery is going to put TTC on hold for a REALLY long time. And me and DH are not getting any younger, LOL.
