Does anyone else feel like this?

DH and I have planned on actively TTCing this month for almost a year. And now that it's here, I'm suddenly scared. What if our relationship drastically changes for the worse? What if our families turn into interfering PITAs? What if we didn't budget enough money for me to take off the year we talked about?

I'm excited and want to go ahead with this, but is anyone else excited and scared simultaneously??

In life there is always going to be what ifs, we can only hope for the best . But I have to say having a child, while hard, is the BEST experience I have ever been so blessed to have, and that is why we are trying again

Sometimes things come up, sometimes we can't always plan for everything, but ya know what, it ALWAYS works out

And its totally normal to feel that way. I have a 9 month old right now, and I still have a bunch of what if's myself. But ultimately I know, that we will make it work!

Yes!! We decided to start trying this month and even though I've been back and forth for the past few months about when we should start, I was sure I wanted to. But now, of course I'm starting to get nervous about EVERY little thing! DH and I already had the talk about how our relationship might change once we have a child, but we are both adamant about working extra hard at it, and putting effort into making time for one other. And sometimes I get worried about our work hours and how we're going to balance that out, etc. I know that it's 100% normal to worry about these things... I mean, having a child is a HUGE life change. But at the end of the day it's something we both really want, and I know we will figure it out along the way.

DH and I talked about TTC 1 year after we got married...and when the time came I suddenly got scared. As much as I wanted it...when it came time to actually "do it" it was like WOAH! But we got pg (and miscarried) and once i got pg I couldn't see it any other way and it was amazing. i can't wait to have that feeling again.

I was the same way you are. We just got our BFP yesterday, and I still feel that way. I am so super excited but so nervous about all the what if's. DH always tells me it will all work out, we will figure it out, and he has always been right.

I think these are all completely valid fears. As all of our parents tell us, you'll never have enough....; be enough....; do enough...... Fill in the blanks.

I worry about the family intervening, too. I get annoyed when people tell me how to raise my dog,

It was SO hard for me to stop taking my BC pills, this is scary stuff

The other day I asked DH if he was sure he wanted me to be the mother of his children.

yep- it's like waiting a really long line for a fun scary roller coaster. When you get the front- you're like- can I REALLY DO THIS?!

There are only 2 things I am worried about...

One is, do we have enough money saved to have a baby AND maintain our lifestyle.... (i.e. shows, vacations, shopping, dinner out..... etc) Also because we plan on buying a house soon.....

And the other thing that worries me is that I will screw up on raising my kid and won't get any second chances. I tend to be a softie, and I'm afraid I'll let my kid get away with too many things, and they'll grow up to be some kind of drug dealer who drops out of school... the type all the neighbors will talk about I'm prepared to have a baby..... or basically any age up till like 5..... but preteens and teenagers scare me, probably because I teach 7th grade!
