Hello Ladies,
I just got married and we want to ttc right away. I have been keeping track of AF for about a year on mymonthlycycles.com and was wondering what the "luteal phase" is. Mine is showing 14 days, I have never changed it, so im assuming thats just average. Im a little lost with this. Im hoping you girls can help me out.

the luteal phase is the time between your ovulation day and the first day of your period.
the average is 10-16 days long.
it is usually pretty consistant in each woman.
14 days is a great LP length b/c it takes 6-10 days for a fertilized egg to implant and then a few more days for the hormone to show up in your FMU for a HPT to pick it up. it's why they call the LP the 2ww (the 2 week wait).
