So today I went to the DR..

And filled out the little questionaire thing, and the part that said "are you pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant" I checked off "yes" (even though we aren't officially trying, but wanted to be safe just in case)

The doctor went to prescribe me medicine and I asked the nurse if it was ok to take if you were TTC, and she said "let me check" and it turns out the medicine she was going to prescribe was a level c drug and very dangerous to take ! Seriously why did I spend 10 minutes filling out paperwork if you aren't going to even look at it.

I'm glad I asked.....

I hate that too! When you tell the nurse your symptoms, and they write it down, and the doctor doesn't even take the time to look at it.

I actually made a similar post the other day about taking medications while TTC.

In my case, I asked my dr if it was ok to take a particular drug he prescribed me and he said it was fine! I looked online and it said it was a category c drug and should be avoided for women pregnant, nursing, or TTC.....

Scary when you need to double check your drs and find they are wrong!!!

I'm on a medication that is FDA approved to take while pregnant and nursing. I asked my doctr about it and she said yes it is approved but unless absolutely necessary she doesn't recommend taking it while pregnant. So just be careful with anything you take.
