New with Question
Hi Everyone!
New here (but ive lurked for a few weeks  )
So basically we are planning to TTC next cycle - around Oct 10th
But having a dental issue - was supposed to be taken care of already but had problems - so anyway - is it safe to have dental work while TTC and if I happen to get preggo on the 1st try - is it harmful?
I know they say that the alcohol is ok since you dont share with the baby until 6 weeks or something like that - so im wondering if its the same with dental sedation?

Speak with your dentist but I've heard that pregnancy can cause dental issues or make some worse so I'd take care of it prior to getting pregnant.

I agree w/ the above poster. I think the main concern is the development of an infection when pregnant b/c your immune system becomes weaker, and you an infection could possibly effect the baby. I think anything more than normal cleanings are not recommended. Defin speak to your dentist.

Thanks girls - i was afraid of that... ive been trying to get all this dental work out of the way and thought i was finally done...but now i might need a root canal...ughhh....
I was so excited that we could finally TTC this month and now it looks like i'll have to wait until this gets fixed.

Welcome!
The other concern with dental work and pregnancy are X-rays. Definitely bad for  Talk to your dentist.
