Too good to be true..
I got a faint BFP on Tuesday morning that was slightly darker but still faint on Tues afternoon. Then everyday after that the line has been getting fainter and fainter. My breast are no longer tender and my temp is beginning to drop. Yesterday the HPT was so faint that it looked negative. Then last night it was negative. It sounds to me like I had a chemical pregnancy.
This happen to anyone else? How long did it take for you to get AF? At this point I would just like AF to come so I can move on. Is it okay to start trying right away next cycle?
ETA:
I just started spotting. I'm upset but relieved at the same time. At least I have an answer now. On to next month.

I got 2 faint positives, and the night that I got the second faint positive, AF came. From what I have read it is fine to start trying right away.

i agree. it's just like getting a late period. the embryo just did not develop or implant properly. i am sorry

I just went through this last week. I put in a call to my OB just to let her know and she told me I could start trying right away.

yes, I had a chemical pregnancy as well, but it seems that mine went a little later than yours. I tested on 10, 11, & 12DPO and all three times got a positive. About a week later I got my period and took a HPT which came up negative. Chemicals (meaning that it does not make it past the first month) are extremely common (25% of women experience it in their first pregnancy).  So it doesn't mean that anything is 'wrong'. In the end of it all, AF just ended up about a week late for me and it was a very normal cycle.
I think it's safe to try again the following month. My doctor told me to wait one cycle (I think it's mainly just to be SURE that everything is out of my body, being that I was nearly 5 wks pregnant when I lost it). But for you, I would assume it would be fine to start trying right away.
So sorry you had to deal with this. I felt a lot how you said - - like it was just too good to be true
