Um... now what?

So I took a HPT on Saturday - 2 days before AF was due. BFN.

I took another one on Tuesday (I think) - 1 day late. BFN.

I took another one this morning - 4 days late. BFP.

Then I took a shower and when I came out my period started.

I've been walking around like this ever sinced

Anyone have any experience with this? TIA!

it sounds like a chemical - the embryo started to implant, but didn't make it. it's kind of like a VERY early miscarriage. i am sorry but the fact that you just got AF is good - you can probably consider this like a normal, BFN cycle.

i would just check with your OB tos ee if they want you to come in for testing. otherwise i would try again next month. good luck!

my sil had this two months ago. The doctor said that its common and alot of women tend to have them but didnt take a HPT to see if they were preggo so they didnt know it was a early miscarriage.

It sounds like it could be two things, either a chemical pregnancy or just some early pregnancy bleeding. How heavy is the flow? If it is a chemical I am so sorry. However, I would call the doctor to confirm you never know. So woman do experience bleeding early on.

I went through the EXACT same thing in Feb. They'll prob have you come in for a blood test and then check your levels again 2 days later to see if they've doubled. In my case, they did double but I ultimately lost it a week later anyway so unfortunately I'd prepare for the worst but hope for the best of course and yes this is apparently much more common than people realize.

This happened to me last month. My dr. told me it was just a chemical pregnancy where the egg was fertilized and never implanted and that it's completely common, it's just that now the hpts are so sensitive that we know about them more often than we used to. She told me to just act as if it was my monthly period. I did, and now this month I got my BFP for real. Although I did go test again today to double check!
