OPK?

Since I am going to really try using the OPK's consisitently this month (using them at the same time every single day and doing the 4 hour hold while limiting my liquid intake)

Did anyone test both in the morning and later in the afternoon/early evening or is that unnecessary ??

Re: OPK?

Its best to test from 11am-3pm and from 5-8pm I read this from babyhopes.com. You shouldn't test in the morning especially if its your first urination of the day.
I did this at 11am and it was my first urination, and I got a positive this was before I read that you should test in the afternoon. Not sure if my test was right or not. Chat Icon

Re: OPK?

I test once per day, around 6 pm and that works for me. The only reason you would need to test twice a day is if you are worried you might miss your surge. If this is your first month using OPKs, I would test once per day and go from there.

Re: OPK?

I use the cheap OPK's and test twice a day. FMU and when I get home from work around 4:30-5:00.

I'm new to them, too. Right now, I'm only doing once a day at noon.

Re: OPK?

I was originally doing them only once at 7pm. But I actually woke up this morning and decided to test with FMU and the intention of testing again at regular time. I got a positive this morning so I guess it depends on your body.Chat Icon Chat Icon

With my first DC I only tested with FMU and used the digital smiley. This time around, now that I know I could miss it, I've been doing FMU with digital and an afternoon one with the Dollar Tree tests.

Re: OPK?

thank you for all of your responses.
Since last month was my first month and I missed my O when using the OPK's I am going to test first thing in the morning and between 5-8pm because I really dont want to miss my O this month.
