OPT - what time and how long?
Ok I have a few questions since i'm sooooo frustrated right now - CD20 and so far nothing :(.
I went ahead and bought some tests from Dollar tree since i ran out of the others and didn't want to spend even more money.
The 'regular' ones say first thing in the morning and the dollar tree says NOT in morning. What time do you test?
Also, do the dollar tree ones really take 10 min or more like it says in the box?

I'm confused/concerned about this and would like to know the answer to this too. I just bought a bunch of Dollar Tree OPKs for this cycle. My problem is that if it only works later in the day, I'll have to test at work (I don't get home until 8 pm). I'm also wondering if it really takes 10 mins b/c that's a looong time to camp out in the ladies' room

Re: OPT - what time and how long?
on weekdays i have done OPKs at night after the gym (where i drink a lot of water) and have not had a problem with results.
i know this isnt true for everyone but for me i have been able to successfully use both $ tree and dip strip OPKs at any time of the day - including FMU. just my own experience though and this is only my second cycle using them - although with a 42 day cycle last month i used A LOT of them. i also got two rounds of +'s before I actually O'ed so just remember that without temping you cant really confirm that O occured, you can just assume so based on your other symptoms.
good luck!

Re: OPT - what time and how long?
I used FMU with the dollar tree ones, and if I didn't test a second time one day I would have missed my surge. I saw in the morning that my line was alot darker than normal, but wasn't a true surge, so I tested again around 3pm and got my surge.
If you read the entire thing it says that you can see a positive in little as 40 seconds. This was the case for me, it was dark within 1 min. But I always checked my negs at 10 min.

I'm kinda in the same boat. It was easier for me to do it first thing in the morning since it says best time is 10-8pm and i leave for work at 7:45. There's NO way i'd do that at work LOL.
I'm wondering if i should have bought more so i can test tonight when i get home around 6 and then tomorrow after work (its supposed to be an early day for me so i get out at 3).
Thankfully the store is only a few blocks away so i can easily get there. Though since i'm at day 20 already, i don't know how long i should even test.
