Swingdancing this Sunday
Not sure if any of you are interested in this- it's pretty fun- and my step dad is in the band....

The New York Swing Dance Society's
Savoy Sunday Dance
Dance to Live Big Band Music
at Irving Plaza (17 Irving Place at E. 15th Street)
Featuring Gerard Carelli & His 8-Piece Orchestra
This all-star orchestra is lead by singer/trombonist Gerard Carelli, featuring Richie Iacona on piano, Mike Hall on bass, Dave Meade on drums, Danny Petrow on guitar, Bill Mobley on trumpet, Josh Shneider on Saxophone, Gary Keller on Saxophone and special guest vocalist Deborah Keeling.
Members, Seniors and Students : $11
General Admission : $15
Doors open at 7 p.m. Dance lessons are from 7-8 p.m.
Dance classes are held from 7-8 PM before the band starts playing. There is no additional charge for these classes which are taught by guest instructors from various dance schools. The band plays from 8:00 to midnight, usually broken up into four sets. Recorded music is played during the three intermissions, so people can still dance while the band is on break. Sometimes an intermission will feature dance performances by guest artists.

I would totally go, but my preggo belly prevents me from doing any sort of dance other than the "waddle and wiggle"
